▼Background
The Japanese mobile game market has grown to more than ¥1 trillion and has entered a mature phase. Against this backdrop, mobile game marketing has seen several changes since the first "Mobile Game Industry Marketing Chaos Map" was released in 2019.
Examples include the diversification of game business models, typified by overseas expansion and the adoption of ad-based monetization, as well as more active initiatives aimed at retaining existing players. In response to these changes, a large number of marketing solutions have emerged and expanded.
We created and released this chaos map in the hope that sharing up-to-date information on marketing solutions will help marketers choose their initiatives and, in turn, contribute to further invigorating the market.
